About Project Healthy Office

9 in 10 people in Singapore feel stressed and burnt out at work.
http://business.asiaone.com/news/only-one-out-ten-people-singapore-claims-be-stress-free
This translates to vulnerability to acute and chronic illness and poor quality of life.

Project Healthy Office is a structured project developed by the SWA to manage stress levels and improve employee engagement.

The first phase of this program involves the development and dissemination of Healthy Office Kits, which contain materials to help companies raise awareness and cultivate healthy workplace practices. The SWA targets to reach 100 offices in the first year.
.
The second phase of Project Healthy-Office is the development of an online Healthy-Office Rating System which enables offices to perform a self-audit based on simple metrics such as corporate healthy policies for relationships education, smoking, bullying, diet, physical activity, stress management, performance management, teaching and learning, inclusion, behaviour and rewards, amongst other variables. Offices will be able to gauge their performance over time and the Healthy-Office Rating System also forms the basis on which offices that rate well enough can apply for a Healthy-Office Label.
.
Project Objectives:
  • To bring the wellness message to offices in Singapore by incorporating sound physical, emotional and mental practices into the daily lives of office workers.
  • To inspire and educate management and non-management staff to live healthily
  • To ensure that healthful suggestions are easy, convenient and cost-effective for office staff to implement.
  • To promote the principles and practices of office health responsibility, through sharing of knowledge and experience.
  • To provide an effective benchmarking tool to facilitate development of a continual improvement cycle for a Healthy Office.
  • To identify areas of initiative in greatest need of improvement.
