Lovestreets Love Beacon 18 March 2017

About Lovestreets

Lovestreets is a derivation of PlaystreetsSG, a home-grown socio-urban initiative that fosters community and family bonding through street closures for play while achieving public health objectives. Lovestreets aims to tackle the fertility problem through romantic and fun ice-breaker activities that catalyse relationships, bonding and closeness.

About Love Beacon
Declare your love for self, lover or family at the Love Beacon this Valentine's Day!
Love Beacon is the Amber Beacon (an unmanned lighthouse) transformed by thousands of pink light bulbs into a romantic landmark for one night only.

Love Beacon is inspired by a project the SWA proposed for a fringe activity of the Singapore Night Festival, Playstreets After Dark, that invited people to ‘Draw your monster’ and attach them to a canopy set up at a corner of the park. Hundreds of people gathered around the installation to decide what to draw amongst themselves before attaching them to the canopy. The project allowed for communication, creativity and individuality.  The shiny installation drew hundreds of participants, onlookers and photographers in the short span of three hours.

The brand and activities on Lovestreets is licensed to Singapore Wellness Association by 3rdOp Pte Ltd.
The event is organised by the Singapore Wellness Association and supported by Spark Connections 2017. For more information on Spark Connections, click on the logo below.
